hi there; not sure where they lived in corryton area, but my dad told me that at one time they had a good amount of property, and that they were also in union co., for a long time. my gr grandfather traded the property for food, to last 10 years, during the depression. this makes more sense to me now, because they had relocated to knoxville, and most of them worked in the quarry. when the depression hit, they all lost their jobs, and none of them were farmers. he was a fairly shrewd man :) anyway, if he hadn't of done that, none of us would be here now, and i for one have the greatest respect for him. my grandfather on the other hand, held a great deal of bitterness until the day he died. anywho, if you know of anyone from that area named caldwell, that have been there for what seems like forever, let me know.....trying to locate family and can't get back before knoxville. thanks so much for letting me know where it's positioned. have a great day, tina caldwell panico
