As far as I have been able to find out, the only Joshua Pierce I can find any record of prior to 1884 is the following entry in the 1870 Campbell County Census: Nbr. Name Age POB 41-38 Pearce, James 70 VA Precilla 46 NC John 9 TN Thomas 7 TN James 4 TN Joshua 2 TN 1870 - 2 = 1868. My Joshua was born about Sept. 1867.
