Since everyone is reminiscing, I would like to ask if anyone remembers Paul Rosenbalm having a restaurant in Manardville?? One was on the corner where the new bank is now and the other across the street from the courthouse. Every year they had a birthday dinner for my Grandfather(Jim Rosenbalm)and Paul Rosenbalm which was the highlight of out year, since we met cousins we hadn't seen since the year before and met new ones born between. My Dad was raised in Union Co (Black Fox area)I now live in neighboring Anderson Co but have many cousins still living in Union Co. I still eat Moon Pies and say I swannee , which my grandkids get a kick out of. I think that saying came from the fact that a Lady wasn't supposed to swear, so it was shortened.
