Ephraim Hammock they had children through 1840 I do not see William but I have more. I am direct to Isaac Long and Nancy Hammock Long. I am looking for the Long's, especially in PA now. Also Weaver. >> This family was Hammock early on - don't know when Hamic came about, but these pension papers do spell it that way. pedigree is: Wm Hamic, 1839-1895; Garrett Martin Hammock (1814-aft. 1880) & "Mary"; Martin Hammock 1784-abt. 1838 & Sarah Janeway. the last Martin is an 1812 War vet. I don't go back beyond him - would welcome any earlier information. As for the question about J Will Taylor - he was a Union Army officer, state representative and then US Senator from Tennessee. He is buried at Taylor Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Union County, the same cemetery where Wm Hamic's children Winnie Hamic Hopson and Horace Hamic are buried. Great grandma Winnie and Uncle Horace both have large, clearly readable stones - was just there last month & confirmed that - but they don't appear in "Footprints" or any of its amendments. Maybe someone in Union Co has a family history of J Will Taylor for Kay in GA. Nancy
