Linnie Dukes and my great-grandmother Josephine Dukes were sisters. Their family grew up in Grainger County. Here is the information I have: Linnie Dukes married John Rose. Their children were Haley, Lena, Ollie, Homer and Glenna. John Rose and Maggie Dukes (Linnies sister) had a son Willie Rose who was born between Homer and Glenna. John was in Caryville, TN when they found his body in a ravene had been pushed or fell. Death report said he was drunk. Linnie married Orvalee (Lee)Collins. Their children were Lula and Nellie. John Rose and Orvalee Collins were half brothers. Linnie's parents were Wesley Paul Dukes and Mahala Jane Maples. They are buried in Little Valley Cemetery in Blaine, in Grainger county, TN.
