Shelton, of Union County, son of Margaret Shelton, shot and killed an uncle when he (James) was ABOUT 17 years of age. The incident happened in Grainger County during the fall hunting season and he was taken to the Rutledge jail. I am trying to determine who the uncle was that was killed. Of course, any other information would be welcome as Margaret was my ggrandmother. Thanks Sue Lewis
