He is 23, Rhody 22, James 3, Mary 2, WM 9 months old, b Sept. I also find a James A. Smith 53, Sarah A 44 with a 3 year old son Andrew. Possibly your ggfather? There is no 1890 census, but in the 1900 Union Co census I find Frank b ll/1855-44 yrs old, Rhoda 6/1848-51 yrs old md for 23 years, had 9 children, 7 living at this time; Mary 5/1879-21, Sarah 9/1885-14, Nealy l0/1886-13, Rosa 6/1891-8, Milus 8/1892-7 James, s/o Franklin is in his own hh 2/1877-23 yrs old, md for 3 yrs to Della l/1880 with a dau Martha 7/1898 l yr. Can't find a Frank or Franklin in the 1910 UC census - lots of Smith families, but utl by Frank, Rhoda, Nealy, etc.
