    1. Re: Check out Ghost Story
    2. Great story! We have a haunting in Knoxville also. It is at the Baker Peters House. I know the man who owns the old building and he is very reluctant to talk about it but has said things from all over the house end up in the basement unexplained. It seems there was a Rebel doctor who lived there named Baker. He was killed in the house by Union solders. His son was also killed after the war, He had been off in the Confederate Army when his father was killed. On his return he vowed vengeance. One of the solders that was present when the father was killed was the county court clerk in Knoxville after the war. One day the two got in a fight on the court house lawn. The Baker gentlemen was slight in size and was taking quite a whipping. He pulled a gun and shot the Clerk dead. A group of the Clerks friends hanged the Baker man at a house nearby. These two are believed to be the Ghost that haunt the house but there were surly numerous deaths in the house since it was used as a Confederate hospital. There have been some people that say they have seen the ghost but mostly it is objects moved from all over the house to one room in the basement. Mark Caldwell
