My sister-in-law went ot he hospital for observation 10 days ago. They ran all sorts of tests, and decided that the operation a few years ago had caused severe adhesions, and would have to be removed, and possibly another part of her small intestine. They did the operation and it was fine, until she inhaled some of the contents of the nasal tube and got pneumonia. That was Monday. Today as he said, she has pneumonia in both lungs and is still on a respirator and in I.C.U. She and and husband were only children and there were only the two of us in our family, my brother and me. Our children were and still are very close, as we are. We celebrated our wedding anniversaries this summer at a reunion at the Oregon coast were we were all born. It was their 60th and our 55th. She's putting up a valient struggle, but maybe more than the familiy's prayers are needed. Could you add her to your prayer list. Thank you all. God bless. Keep them coming. As of 10 am today. No fever, vitals good. Still has pneumonia present in both lungs but slightly improved from yesterday. Still on vent and ng tube. Getting TPN IV. Awake this am with Dr. and obeyed commands to squeeze hands, wiggle toes, etc. Giving her sedative to keep her from getting too excited. She's unknowinly fighting the tubes and the restraints.
