I'm interested in churches in that area also. My ggrandfather, Solomon Peter EVANS lived in the Long Hollow / Dark Hollow area (not far from Big Ridge). Two of his sons were Methodist Preachers (William Thomas EVANS & Robert Lee EVANS), but my grandfather, Joseph Franklin EVANS was Baptist (maybe converted after marrying my grandmother, Minnie Catherine HUMPHREY). I think he attended Byram's Fork Baptist Church and Mount Olive Baptist Church. His sister, Etta Lourina EVANS DEMARCUS attended Hines Creek church. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, November 05, 2000 7:29 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Surname list I haven,t posted for a while myself, but I am searching for the Williamson Families who resided in the union county area from the time part of campbell county became union county.
