I don't know the family at all, but per the cemetery book, Sarah was born 13 October 1844 and died 18 February 1918, so there should be a death certificate, although compliance was very spotty in 1918. There are no dates listed for John, just the fact that he served in the 3rd Tennessee Infantry. Checking a little further, Sarah died in Knox County, and there is a death certificate. You can find images of Tennessee death certificates for free at familysearch.org; just look under "USA, Canada & Mexico", then "Tennessee Death Records, 1914-1955", not "Tennessee Deaths and Burials". John was the informant, so he was still living. Hi Ginny, I found census for Henderson Loy age 27 in 1850, Sarah wife 24, Elizabeth 6, Frelinghysen age 4 in Campbell County, TN 1860 Henderson Loy age 37, Sarah, Elizabeth 16, Freeland 14, William Nancy, plus 3 more kids. 1880 Freeland Loy age 39, wife Mary 36 in Carroll County, IN with children: Leonidas, Ada, Henry, George, Nellie, Medie. I think there is more than one Freeland. What do you think? I could really use some clarification on my LONGMIRE family. I have William Longmire, born 1704 in London, Middlesex, England married to Susanna(h) Marshall, with William’s parents being George Francis Longmire and wife, Anne Unknown. However, I am working with another researcher who shows the following: William Longmire, born 1704 in London, Middlesex, England married to Susanna TURNER with parents being George Longmire and Martha MARSHALL. I highly doubt we could have two William Longmire’s born on the same date in the same city, each married to a Susannah, and with a father named George.
