Re" Wolfenberger's/ Suggest you look at the web site, www.icon.net/~wolfenberg/ or write to the Family Association, 6400 Ann Arbor Terr. , Oklahoma City, OK 73132. Director, Larry Jones. They take the family back to the 1500 in Switzerland. Good Hunting. Earlene Hutsell
Thelma, Actually Morton is in my husband's line only because George Washington Morton, born Sept. 3, 1830-died Feb. 17, 1898 married Margaret Lewis. George Washington Morton's parent's were David Morton and Nancy Catherine James. This is not my husband's direct line but it often leads to information that fills in some of the blank spot in my research. Margaret Lewis was the daugher of Jesse Lewis and Mary Thompson. Have you come across any information as to were Jesse Lewis and Mary Thompson Lewis died? It is my understanding that they are buried in Lewis or Butchers Cemetery near Hines Creek in Union Co. Hi cousins, I'm looking for NICELY, COLLINSWORTH, DAVIS in the main. Also, BEELER and HURST, although there's tons of information on the Net about those two families. Possible surnames (I've got some probable but not absolutely verified links) DAY, NORRIS, STINNETT (or any close alternate spelling). Jim
If you use AOL and live outside Tennessee do me a favor. We're getting some people saying that they can't access Rootsweb from AOL. Are any of you AOL users having a hard time? Try going to this url and letting me know if it works: http://www.rootsweb.com/~tnunion/ If not try just the url: http://www.rootsweb.com/ The complaints we are getting about Rootsweb all seem to be coming from the East Tennessee area. It may just be a routing problem. I've tried it myself and sure enough my AOL browser will not access Rootsweb. But when I fire up Internet Explorer it goes almost instantly. Doesn't sound like a routing problem though. Chip Union County TngenWeb
Yea, Margaret. You will LOVE this list and especially Chip, who manages it. Love ya, Nina
