Some of you have asked if Union County Highschool is online. Originally I said no because that's what I have been told by the people there. I've kept looking and came up with this: http://207.125.115.140/index.html This is the raw domain for them. I have no idea what their domain name is. Also the page looks old and although it has current student homepages only a few work. The teacher that was in charge of this is Laura DeMoratta or at least she was. She left at mid year for another job. That may explain why the page hasn't been updated. Also the graphics are huge so the pages take a while to load. Now I'm off on a quest to find Maynardville Elementary Online. They keep putting their URL in newspapers as: http://www.mes.com That URL doesn't work and to the best of my knowledge has never been registered to anybody. If any of you should ever run across this school's page be sure and let me know. I'm updating our Union County Links page. Chip Union County TnGenweb

The Seattle Public Library had a list of MORTON marriages from the Daily Republican Banner (Friday, May 29, 1840) and The Western Weekly Review (Friday, June 29, 1832). Could someone possibly tell me where I could find what counties these papers served? Thanks so very much. Nina MORTON T.
According to the information given me on Parley Loy, Daniel Hutcheson died between 1894 & 1900. She married James Fleming McCoy before 1900. I do not have the marriage information or know anything more about James Fleming McCoy. If you want the name of the person who gave me this info., let me know. Corinne

His name has always been listed as Tink. I believe there were two of them. One earlier operated a Grist Mill. The one to whom you're referring married Parley Loy Hutcheson in 1902. At least that's who I believe she was. I have never been able to determine that this was actually Parley Loy Hutcheson because according to my records Parley's Loy's husband, Daniel did not die until 1829. If you get a good answer that's not published on this mailing list, please let me know. There must be more to the story that what I know.

Hi, I have just joined the list and would like to know if anyone is researching the surname "HICKLE" ? I am looking for information about Arninda Hickle. She was born ca. 1865 Union co.TN. to ?? and married in Knox co.TN on 12-25-1881 to Isaac N. Pack from GA. I am trying to determine if this Isaac N. Pack was the son of James and Elizabeth Pack from Union co and Rabun co. GA. I have more info about the Pack family but need to know if this Isaac N. was their son. Thanks for any information shared and I am also willing to share. Patty Brock
Hi Chip: I came across this url sometime ago.. debated whether to forward to you or not. You be the judge. It's interesting, and we all know there is misleading information out there. Just where, is the question.. http://www.linkline.com/personal/xymox/fraud/fraud223.htm Check out this pg Chip.. quite interesting... http://www.linkline.com/personal/xymox/ Also my newest pg, which is still under construction:.. http://www.geocities.com/nashville/stage/4557/index.html Page is looking great Chip.. thanks.. have you considered a lookup type volunteer pg?.. For example:.. I volunteer to do look ups at our library and surrounding cemeteries in Bledsoe County, TN, also take pics of requested grave stones, and/or search in cemeteries. I have another url, which I have misplaced between my two computers.. it consists of volunteers doing lookups, all over the states and expanding across the big pond. When I find it, I shall forward.. keep up the great work, sandy

It is a pretty good idea that may assist many. They way I understand how it works is; you post your specifics of the Country, State, County, Township etc. and Cemetery name and stone details and if someone on a volunteer list is near they will take a picture of the stone, digital or film for the inquiring party.. We are having a little problem with the mailing list. We are getting probably 30 or 40 pieces of returned mail a week. We are going to attempt to repair the problem today (Saturday). If you get unsubscribed send me an e-mail at: thagamizer@aol.com If you do get unsubscribed it is by accident I promise. Also if you are currently using the address @sigecom.net or have used it in the past make sure that your "return to" line in your outgoing mail reflects your new address and not the old @sigecom.net address. Thanks and again be sure to drop me a line if I accidentally unsubscribe you. Union County TngenWeb
I like to think that most of us here on the list have a good sense of humor. In genealogy you'd go nuts without it. Our sister page in Union County Maynardville.com now has their humor page online. When you're tired of genealogy and just need a break stop by: http://www.maynardville.com And click on the humor button. Now, we are updating the Union County Links page. Anybody got any great sites that should be included? They don't have to be just about Union County. If you've found a good site for genealogy of any kind send us the URL and we'll inlclude it on the page. MOST IMPORTANT! If you have a personal website let us know. We are more than glad to link to it. Just this week one of you sent us your site and it was a great asset to our page. We added these sites to our Family Page. Thanks, Chip

I have been doing some new stuff lately to pass the time. Keeps me from getting burnt out on genealogy. I realize that most of you do things on the internet from time to time just to pass the time. I have recently made some changes to Duarf, my online seer. For those of you who do not remember Duarf try it out at: http://members.aol.com/morom01/joke/answer2.htm It started out as a way to learn Javascript and just moved on from there. Type your question in the box and hit the button. Duarf will read your mind and give you the answer. Remember if Duarf asks a followup question be sure to answer honestly. Sorry Duarf can't find your long lost ancestors but hey everything doesn't have to do with genealogy. Have fun, Chip
Thanks Becky. These Nations are hard to track down. Can you tell me if there is a William Nation or Jane buried there? Probably not, they may have gone to KY.
