    2. It was below Maryville and I believe is near the mounds in Blount County. If it's where I'm thinking of it was a Cherokee village before the Trail of Tears. I was told it was called that because of the streams that flowed together near the village. Chip

    3. Chip, Think about this...we have had Lovell's in Knox Co forever. Lovel Road in W. Knoxville and many named Lovell/Lovel etc. I know White's but do not know the ones mentioned. I am reading the 1850, 1860, 1900 Knox Co TN Census over and over. Have found many of the Weaver's in Knox Co. Did Calvin Burton White ever live in Knox Co? If so I will watch for him. You see when I began this search of my family lineage I began using at hand written copy of our family tree by my father's cousin. This family tree reported that Robert Ellison from South Carolina b. 1755 - c. 1798 was married to a Mary. This I have verified. However my tree says they had three sons. James b. 1778 Berry b. 1780 and Robert. And I have a whole lineage for that Berry however I was recently told that There was no Berry borned 1780 and as I look through my paper work I can see where his "lineage" should have been placed under James b. 1778 son Robert b. 1805 - 1868. My question is this? Did James of 1778 have brothers or sisters? If so who were they? Thanks to all the People from Union County that help me answer this question. Melissa :-).

Nina MORTON T This is the family whom you suspect it is. Elizabeth and Matilda were NOT the same persons. The reason Matilda was not shown in 1870 was because she died 1 Aug 1861! There were a total of 13 children by Lucy Irwin and 5 by Henry Rice's second wife Mary Love Petree. -- Terry L. Hutchison - "In order to understand ancestors one must first understand HISTORY!
