    2. Hay Alice, I don't have anything on Ambrose or Andrew Sharp, but I do have a K/Catherine Sharp. I have just recently found out about her so I haven't had time to do much research yet. She was born about 1847 and died about 1878. She married James Willis Taylor and had 6 children. I believe her parents were John Nicholas Sharp and Malinda Ausmus, but have no other info on parents. I am wondering if we could have a connection somewhere because this family also lived in Union County as well as Monroe. I am hoping some of this may be familiar to you. I would love to talk. Thanks, Kay H.

    1. any caldwell/warwick researchers out there?
    2. ROBERT M PANICO
    3. hi there; i don't usually post anything but i need some help here. my gr gr grandfather was jim (possibly james) caldwell b. ca. 1850, and his wife was josephine warwick b.?. my father keeps telling me that he owned property in union co. and deeded it to his grandchildren, but during the depression of the 1930's, his son traded it with someone for ten years of fresh vegetables and other edibles. apparently he felt that the depression would be over by the time the food arrangement ended. jim's son's name was john lee caldwell, and he married margaret elizabeth foust. it was their children that jim caldwell had deeded the property to to begin with. if anyone could possibly help me with locating a birth record, marriage record, death record....anything........i would greatly appreciate it. many thanks to you all, tina caldwell panico

    1. Seymour-Dunn connection
    2. Hello I'm new to this. I am hoping that maybe someone may have some information on Arminda Seymour or Bob Dunn. Arminda was my great grandmother. I have been told that it is possible that Bob Dunn was her lover and the father of her children. They wanted to get married but her father refused. So instead she just had his babies. Can anyone out there give me a clue? Does either of the names sound familiar? Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

    3. I am looking for anything that will give me the date of DEATH of Zummery - Zumri - Zunri - ( many many spellings.) WILLIAMS b. abt. 1835 d. after 1888. Married 3 time. first : Julia Proffitt mar. Laurel Co. KY 1857 Listed on the Laurel Co. KY--1850 census 15 years old with wife Julia. Listed on the Laurel Co. KY --1860 census as Ziniz Williams w/w Julia. in the home of his father and mother. Listed as Zumri Williams w/ July P. in the Union co TN 1870 census (guessing that this July P. is really Julia Ann Proffitt. ) He and Rachel Parker, half sister to Julia Proffitt, marry. 1871-1885 Listed on the 1880 Claiborne Co. TN census with wife Rachel s/o Elijah Williams and Catherine Box. By 1887 he is with Martha Turner. They have one child, Jess Williams. 1889. TN Jess dieds in Claiborne as a young man. So Zumri, Zunri, Zinnz, Williams is still living in 1889! What happens to him? Where did he go? I have NOT checked 1900 census (nor 1890 LOL). Hope for lead so I will know what to order. 1. Travel Maps Usa by Cosmi
    2. Recently I purchased a program called Travel Maps USA by Cosmi at Wal-Mart for $9.95. It is one of the best programs I've found. It is a trip map, recommended to me by a truck driver. You can zero in on streets and roads in every county and state in the USA. It also gives churches, cemeteries and schools. I thought you researchers might find it as valuable as I have. James R. Sorry I'm just now getting around to telling you. Now as for the Church project we were working on. I have yet to get it off the ground. I have taken ads in papers and everything else I could think of to get church histories. Maynardville.Com even offered every church a free homepage. We got two replies! Not to be beaten I have gotten some church photos and have started creating the church homepages anyway. My thinking is that eventually churches will get embarrassed by not having anything on their page and send me some history of their church. So if you want to see pictures (and a few histories) of the churches your families went to have a look at our church section. Go to our homepage: http://www.rootsweb.com/~tnunion And near the bottom you'll find the church section link. If any of you know anything about any of these churches or any others send me the information. It would be great to put some history on these pages. And once again we have the Historical Society to thank for these great pictures. More are on the way too. On a lighter note, my Maynardville.Com page got hacked last Friday night. Got up Saturday morning and my message boards had turned to porn! Don't go looking now, I've already fixed it. Odd thing is though, I had more visitors with the porn than I ever had before. Maybe that's why Union County isn't sending me church histories. Chip Union County TnGenWeb ==== TNUNION Mailing List ==== Put those lists to work for others. If you have any cemetery or bible lists please send them in. We can post them on the page for others to use. --WebTV-Mail-13626-59--

    1. Union Co. Book II
    2. Does anyone know if there is a listing of contributors of pictures to the Union County Book #2? I have Book 1, the original oamphlet type booklet, and have seen Book 2 and 3, but have no access to them now. On the bottom of Page 517, there is a picture of Pherbe HILL ADKINS. She is my husbands 2nd gr grandmother. I have searched for her parents for almost 25 years and still don't have them. Does anyone know who sent that picture into the publishers? I think that's about the only chance I have of finding her parents, is to contact whomever has that picture. I have a picture of her husband, Robert ADKINS and the pictures of Wm. Geo MONROE and Adeline ATKINS MONROE. I have most of the descendants of Wm. Geo and ADeline and will be glad to share them. Thanks. Earlene Hutsell OK1WE1@aol.com
