He had retired from Ford Motor Company after 21 years of service. He is preceded in death by his: Wife: Wanda Vandetta Brantley, Son: Fredrick James Brantley, Parents: Fred Johnson and Virgie Braden, Brothers: Doyle Braden, Wade Braden and Larry Braden, Nephew: Larry Braden II. He is survived by his: Sons: Lowell Carson Brantley, Gary Thomas Brantley and wife Ozella, Onis Brantley, Jr., Brother: Lloyd Braden, Half sister: Linda Johnson. Eight Grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, and other friends and relatives.     3. CREEKMORE, POLLYANNA - age 88 went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 3, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Creekmore and seven siblings. Pollyanna graduated from Knoxville High school then the University of Tennessee, and earned her Master's Degree from Colombia University. She worked as a librarian at East Tennessee State University and as librarian of the McClung Historical Collection at Lawson McGhee library. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Pollyanna Creekmore music fund at Messiah Lutheran Church; 6900 Kingston Pike Knoxville, TN 37919. Lorraine was born September 29,1924 in Detroit , MI. She married Leo Oszust on May 9,1941. He survives her. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, New Tazewell, TN and Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Saginaw, MI. Lorraine was a member and Past President of Pulaski Hall and The Saginaw County Fair. She was also involved with a local Red Hatters Group. Lorraine had been a major leader in the community in Saginaw as well as a professional Cake and Candy Maker. Surviving besides her husband, are two daughters: Leeona Acuff and husband Bryce, Lucinda Hopper. Grandchildren are Shannon Fryer and husband Todd of MI, U.S.A.F. Captain Joshua Hubbell and wife Nichole of NM., great grandchildren Abigail, Brayden, Noah, Carter, Colten, and Claire.     3. DONAHUE, ALBA ETTA NEEDHAM - of Corryton, passed away at home Saturday morning, May 2, 2009. She was born April 24, 1915 on a farm near Luttrell, in Union County. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Warwick's Chapel Baptist Church. She was a member of Union Baptist Church on Washington Pike for 59 years. Preceded in death by husband, Virgil A. Donahue, in 1978; parents, John J. and Jessie Ledgerwood Needham; brothers, Clarence, Robert, and Jim Henry Needham; sisters, Reba Donahue, Grace Frost, and Eileen Merritt. Survivors: daughter, Doris Jean Donahue Henderlight and husband Frank; grandson, Jerry Henderlight and wife Stacey; step-great grandson, Nicholas; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends and traveling buddies. The family offers special thanks to her physician, Dr. Amy Rosine, and to the caregivers at St. Mary's Home Health and St. Mary's Home Hospice, all of whom gave her love and dignity along with the best of care.     3. PROFFITT, GRACE ALICE - age 90, of Maynardville, passed away Wednesday April 29, 2009 at St. Mary's Medical Center following a short illness with her niece and great niece at her side. She was a long time member of Alder Springs Baptist Church. She was born August 6, 1918 in Sevierville, TN to Charlie and Laura McCarter Proffitt. She resided with her parents and sister, Stella Martha, in Concord, TN before moving to Maynardville. As an adult, Grace worked as a bookkeeper for Southern Coal and Oil Co. in Knoxville, TN and helped raise her niece, Susan Belitz Coe. In later years, Grace took care of her parents and worked at the Union County Senior Citizens Center. In 2007, she retired from her position as a cook and enjoyed activities at the center and in the company of her many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Laura Proffitt; and sister, Stella. She leaves behind, her loving niece, Susan Coe; and other family members, Robert, Abby, John, Robin, Jim, Mary, Kay, Rose, Jon, Laura, Scott, Chris, Mary, Tom, Cindy, William, Katherine, Jack, Carl and Rosemary. Grace was a woman of incredible kindness and generosity. Her effortless love for all those who surrounded her will never be forgotten. We will continue your work here, Grace, until we see you again.     3. LONGMIRE, SIDNEY LEAMON - age 77 of Blaine passed away Monday, April 27, 2009 at home. He was born August 31, 1931 to Horace and Bertha Bledsoe Longmire in Loyston, TN. He served in the army as a corporal in the Korean War and during that time met and married Mary, the love of his life. He retired from Robertshaw Controls after 38 years of service and then his days were spent doing what he loved most - family get-togethers, gardening, fishing and farming. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Member of Block Springs Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Horace and Bertha Bledsoe Longmire. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Tarver Longmire; son, Mike Longmire and wife Tammy; daughters, Brenda Simmons and husband David, and Tammy Canant and husband Allen; grandchildren, Chad Mink, Michael Longmire, Randy Longmire, Ashley Canant, and Amanda Canant; great grandsons, Bobby Mink and Blake Mink; brother, Knox Longmire; and a host of nieces and nephews.
