    3. Hi Flo, I forgot to mention to get to the correct area of Claiborne county on the map I sent just type in Wagon Hollow. Henry T. Williams, son of Zimri, is buried in the Moyers Cemetery in the same area. 2. Bill, Thanks for this info. When you decide whether or not you are going after the Williams Line, let me know. I have plenty. Just this Zemri is eluding me. Still been trying to prove or disprove Mary Pennybaker. I have Henry T's line also. When you are ready for the papers I told you about, let me know. O yes lots of the Williams are still in that area, and over in KY plus everywhere else in US. Nice To Hear From You, Florence << Morning Flo, I don't know where Zimri was buried, but I do know there was a Williams family in the Goin area of Claiborne county and this family included Rev. Henry T. Williams, son of Zimry. Many in this community were members of the Davis Creek Primitive Baptist Church, including Zimry. I suspect very strongly that he lived near the Friendship Church, but have no proof. There are still Williams families living in that vicinity. At least there were Williams families there until fairly recently. This is somewhere in the vicinity of the head of Wagon Hollow. 2. When you are in Union Co., I would appreciate anything you find about Martin Englant. He was born in Jellico, TN, died in Knoxville, TN, lived in Union Co. at the time of his death in 1908. He was seriously injured when slate fell and crushed his spine as he was inspecting an old coal mine in Union Co. Ruth Betz

    3. Morning Flo, I don't know where Zimri was buried, but I do know there was a Williams family in the Goin area of Claiborne county and this family included Rev. 2. Barbara Ribling
    3. Thank you very much! I mistakenly send a reply to the list when I intended to send it to you. It went out as your message came in. I have a couple questions regarding the info below: 1. Do you know who the father of Hugh and English was? 2. You name Hugh's children Syntha and M.F. and then you talk about M.F.'s father being Hugh who came from VA. This is the same Hugh? It almost sounds as though you mean another man? 3. You name two wives for Hugh, Polly and Minerva, but then you say that M.F.'s mother was Lucretia Gault. Did you mean that Hugh's mother was Lucretia? Later you state that Hugh's mother was Welch. Was Hugh married 3 times to BAYLESS, HOSKINS and GAULT? M.F. was Martin, I believe. Martin (or his son?) was Gov. of FL. He had a sister (Mrs. McGarity as I recall) who was interested in genealogy and researched the family history but I have not seen her research. The Gov.'s papers are on file in the FL state archives. I live about 80 miles from Tallahasse and hope to be able to see the Gov.'s papers one day. The archive building is difficult to get to and I cannot go at all in hot weather because there is no close parking and the heat is too much for me. It is my hope that the papers include a family history. I have info on other CALDWELLs and wonder how they connect (if at all) to the Rev. Hugh: 1 Thomas Gault CALDWELL b: Abt. 1830 in Knox Co., TN, d: Dec 27, 1863 in Grainger Co., TN. He m. Lydia KIRKPATRICK b: Abt. 1829 in Knox Co., TN, m: Dec 28, 1849, d: Mar 03, 1853 in Knox Co., TN. She was the dau. of Robert KIRKPATRICK and Rachel BAYLESS. The had a son, Thomas Marion CALDWELL b: Feb 28, 1853 in Knox Co., TN, d: Nov 16, 1939 in Bradley Co., TN. He m. Martha Ellen COFER b: Sep 20, 1850 in Meigs co., TN, m: Aug 03, 1875,d: Dec 23, 1936 in Bradley Co., TN. They had daus. Nora Mae and Novie Jeanne. 2. William BAYLESS, son of Isaac of Union Co., married Rhoda CALDWELL. I don't know anything about Rhoda beyond her name. I would like to know more about all of these CALDWELLs. They are not in my direct line but I have an interest in all lateral lines and BAYLESS family members including their spouses, etc. I will gladly share any BAYLESS info that I may have and if I am ever able to get to the archives, I will gladly share any CALDWELL history that I might find. 1. Re: BAYLESS/CALDWELL 1800s
    2. Barbara, Sorry for the confusion. Hugh Caldwell and Rutha Holstien Caldwell had a son named Hugh in VA. The Hugh born in VA married 1'st Nancy Farrier 2nd Lucreatia Gault Welch. This Hugh came to Knox Co( now Union Co.) from Botourte Co VA in about 1809. His son English was my GG Grandfather. He was a 1/2 brother to Rev Hugh. Rev Hugh's mother was Lucretia and English's mother was Nancy. English and Rev Hugh had the same father but different mothers. MF was Millard he was the Gov of Florida in later years. My grandfather Alonzo Willett Caldwell spoke of him and said he was a cousin.I have unverified info as to a total of 4 children of Rev Hugh. Syntha was a daughter to Rev Hugh . MF Caldwell was a son to Rev Hugh. There have been a lot of Hugh Caldwell's. Syntha married a 2nd time to a man named Hill. Rev Hugh is buried at Bethany Baptist Church, The land that Bethany is on was donated by a Bayless. It is near the head of Racoon Valley. Many of the original members of Bethany were Bayless people. Rev Hugh had a sister named Rhonda. This may be the one you are asking about, If so her father was Hugh Caldwell and her mother was Lucreatia Caldwell. Mark Caldwell;
