    2. If you have any information on this family I would be most greatful. My Ruben was in Hamilton County Illinois in the 1880 census.. shows him being ill. Most likely TB.. but I cant find him buried there either or a brother that was there.. of course nothing for 1890. 1. WILSON Family
    2. This is the census from 1850 Overton county.. hope it isn't too messed up.. I think that the Alexander that is listed is the Ruben A. Wilson listed by my grandfather on my great grandmothers death certificate. He married an Amelia Lea in Overton County. I have a picture of her fathers home but on the back my grandmother just wrote his name and east TN. That is how I started looking for this branch of the family.. nothing else to go on. Been an uphill battle. Am told that Overton County was a burned county and not many records. Sorry for the long post everyone. LAST NAME FIRST NAME AGE SEX RACE OCCUP. VAL. BIRTHPLACE MRD. SCH. 3. Tom, The mention of Lowell Blanchard reminded me of a story that I heard about my aunt, Etta Evans DeMarcus (1876 - 1965). She was interviewed by Mr. Blanchard and the subject of politics came up. Etta was a strong Democrat. Lowell asked her what she would be if she wasn't a Democrat. Etta calmly replied ... "I'd be ashamed." (I'm sure she'd also be ashamed of the current Presidential Circus) Archie Campbell was a resident here in Powell, TN. He is buried in the same cemetery (Glenwood Cemetery) as my Grandfather, Joe Evans. I have a listing of the cemetery on my web site: http://rpevans.home.att.net/gwood1.html Thanks for reviving the memories!
