Tn Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tn/Union/872 Surname: Perry ------------------------- Margaret, Are you talking about John Arthur Perry's children that you have? John Arthur Perry had a full sister named Maggy (Mag) Perry thats the only one so far that i have that is his true sister i know there is more just waiting for the info. and he had a half brother named Menyard and two half sister's Arletta who married a WOODS and Thelma not sure who she married. The bad thing for me is I don't know which set of parents the half children go to. Hope that makes sense. What i do know is that Nancy Shekles the last wife of Richard Perry had only one child that died at a young age so that narrows it down to the other two wives. :) Hope this makes sense Rachel
Thank you so much Mark. I know my pastor will appreciate it too. I am printing out all the email for him. At 08:04 PM 01/05/2001 EST, you wrote: >Rae, What a terrible thing to happen. Thank you very much Chip. Here is what I have today. Update from Pastor Mike - the situation looks very bad. They have not found Aaron or his roommate. They had helicopters looking for them in the area. Pastor Mike asks for a specific prayer "that the girl friend of Aaron's roommate will be found." They believe that she might be able to shed some light on the what has happened. At 08:53 AM 01/05/2001 EST, you wrote: >That's more than fine Rae. That's more than fine Rae. Please do keep us informed, and if I can help in any way please let me know. Chip
I hope this is ok. If not, please let me appologize in advance if it offends anyone. Here is a prayer request sent from my pastor Mike Reynolds. He and his wife Nancy are in need of your prayers. Aaron is his son. I will send an update when I get one. Thanks. Robin Dear Ones -- My family and I are requesting your prayers in the strongest possible means. Yesterday afternoon we were alerted by the Sheriff's department near Waco, TX that Aaron's car was found abandoned sometime over the weekend. It was on a back dirt road and there was some evidence of foul play -- but not conclusive. It seems that Aaron and his roommate disappeared together with the possibility of another person and are not at any of their usual haunts. They were due to meet up with the rest of their band on Friday afternoon and move to San Marcos, TX together. Aaron and his roommate never showed up & have been missing ever since. All of his clothes and stuff are in the house he was renting. We have filed a missing person's report and know of no other action but to go to TX and find out what has happened. _________________________________________________________________ Rae Davis-Smith http://www.angelfire.com/va2/Terry/Smith.html

Posted on: Union Co. Tn Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tn/Union/868 Surname: Williamson, Ridenour, Thomas ------------------------- According to the book Union County, Tennessee Marriages 1854-1925,Emma Williamson md G. P. Thomas on 15 Nov 1898. The 1900 Union Co census shows Palmer G. Thomas b. May 1872 (28) Emily F. b. Dec 1881 (18) with dau Della P. born Aug 1898 and a boarder, John Saunders 85 yrs old living next door to a James M. Williamson family. I believe this is your Emily's family. James is 53, b 8/1846, Mary E. 8/1846, md for 36 years, 12 children - 9 living in 1900. Also living with them are Wilburn T. 31 widowed, b. ll/1868, Luvina C. 21, 6/1878, James L. 17, b. 3/1883, Columbus L. 14, b. 7/1885, Marshal S. ll, b. 12/18888, and grandson Maynard H. 5, b. 1894 (probably son of Wilburn) I would venture to say that Emily is the dau of James and Mary. Going back to the 1880 Union Co census, I find this family with a Wilbourn 12, Sarah J. 10, Thomas R. 7, Daniel P.5 , Eliza I. 4 and Laurine C. l. John Sanders (63) is living with them. The marriage book shows an Eliza I Williamson md to a Stephen Farris on 19 Mar 1898; Sarah J. md A. J. Ballinger on 25 Feb 1885 and a S. J.(f) md A. D. Lynch on 14 Aug 1890; Daniel P. md Margarett J. Clouse on 4 Feb 1897; W. T. md Esther Brantley on 12 Feb 1893 and Roxie Brandumburg on 26 Apr 1903. Living next to James in the 1880 census is a John B. Williamson 20, wife Malinda C. (IDOL) 22 and a dau Nelie E. l year old and Albert J. 3 months old. There are very few Williamson families in Union Co in the 1880 census; Albert 57, James M.33, James M.30,(nephew of John F. and Mary J. Sweat, John B 20, William H. 25 and a Margaret L. 30 widowed dau of Mary Wilson.(marriage records indicate a M.L. Williamson md a George McCarty on 6 Mar 1881, but I don't find a record where M. L. Wilson md a Williamson) In 1900, George McCarty and Margaret L are living next door to James M. Williamson so she may be his dau also. I hope some of this information is of use to you in your research.
Posted on: Union Co. Tn Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tn/Union/867 Surname: Calloway, Williams ------------------------- I have ancestors in the Williams Cemetery (its official name, I believe) in Union County (where I live). I have a "Lizzie Calloway" but this woman married a Harvey Savage. I would like to know who your Elizabeth "Lizzie" Calloway would be. Elijah Calloway and wife are buried in Williams Cemetery. He is the beginning of our line, originating from NC. I have not gone to the cemetery but I have inquired about it and found that it's an obscure location: on the bank of Norris Lake, 6 miles southeast of Speedwell TN in Union County. With more effort, I could probably get more detailed directions. Please email me if you are interested in comparing notes. Thanks, April Calloway

I am looking for the parents of Mary Jane Beason b.12-25-1863 (source: Our German Pioneers, Shoffners and kin" in Union or Claiborne County Tennessee. (1900 Union Co. Census states Mary Jane was born in June 1861) Mary Jane married James David Shoffner on December 21, 1879 (Union County History. Vol 2 says 1977.) Mary Jane's parents according to the book "Our German Pioneers Shoffners and Kin" by Sonja Collins, were William Beason and Elizabeth Keck. Other researchers disagree however but cannot produce sources. Any input greatly appreciated. Bette Sutton Rodey [email protected]

I have been searching frantically for a connection to the Dukes. My great grandmother was Isabell Dukes who married a Jones and then a Steward in Grainger County. She is buried in the same cemetery in Grainger County. Do you have a connection and is she kin to Linnie? I do not know her brothers or sisters nor her parents. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
