    3. Dear Ones -- Today has been avery long day & it is late here in Texas -- but I did want to get a word to so many of you who are praying. After visiting with the Temple PD, the McLennon (Waco) Sheriff's Dept. & the Texas Rangers we know a lot more details than we Knew yesterday -- we just do not know how to put them all together yet & neither do the police. The Waco folks are working on it because Aaron's car was found in their jurisdiction & the Temple folks are working on it because we filed the missing person's report with them because Aaron and his roommate (Jacob) were last seen in Temple. The TX Rangers were called in on it becuase they can cross jurisdictional lines and have many more resources. We do know as of tonight is that the boys are still missing & that the blood in the car (& there was a little in the backseat and a lot in the trunk) is human blood. They do not know the type of it yet. They took blood from Nancy & I as well as Jacob's parents for cross matching and DNA analysis. We also know that the boys are not anywhere within a 4 mile radius of where the car was found. The Detective with the McLennon Sheriff's Dept flew over the area in a helicopter today & then walked a good bit of the area. They also had 4 patrol cars cover all of the roads in the area and searched all out buildings, bridges, & culverts as well as houses. They found nothing! We are going to meet with the officers again tomorrow on the blood type and other things & we are going to stay here through the weekend. If nothing is found then we may go home on Sunday or Monday. We are trying to be patient to avoid multiple trips. Since the boys were last seen on the 29th of December and the car was found & the case was not given to detectives until the 2nd of January. Thus, the trail is a little cold. There are many things that do not add up. Fortunately one of the dectives is a Christian & he hugged Nancy today and held her awhile and then prayed with us. WE know they are doing all they can -- Please we pray that they will have the wisdom to know how to put all of this together. Thank you all for praying!! 3. Allen, I found no info on Davis but in OUR UNION COUNTY FAMILIES page 266 under Seymour Families of Union County in 1870 census is a family headed: Seymour, Fanney, b 1830 ..William b. 1851 ..Christopher C. b. 1855 ..Mary J b. 1857 ..Manervy A. b. 1859 (could this be your Minerva?) ..Margaret L. b. 1861 ..Martha C. b. 1862 This family must have moved into the area after 1860 census because they are not listed in the 1860 section and William b. 1851 is a head of household in 1880 census. I hope this is of some help. Mary in CA ************* Allan Davis wrote: > > Posted on: Union Co. Tn Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tn/Union/877 Surname: Perry ------------------------- Yes I would like the information on John Arthur Perry's children, might as well get it right from a family member. It's is so hard to get correct information. I have found four different dates for one of my aunts. I finually just used the date I though was correct. So it is very important to have someone with the correct dates as well as names. I don't know if you have found it this way or not but so many use their middle name and swich back to their given name, make things more confussing then they already are. What about this Otto that was in the book I told you about. He is list as John A. son. I think it might be possible this is the fellow in the picture with my great aunt Mossie, its a strech but it could be. the picture I have says Ott but that could be Otto, who knows I hope we find the answer.I know a lady in Knoxville that is connected with the Union County Historical Society I will have her ask around.Anyways send me that list of children. Thank You so much for all of your help.

    3. There are so many of you praying for Pastor Mike and his family that I was afraid I would miss someone if I emailed you privately. This is the update on the situation. Date: Sat, 6 Jan 2001 16:04:25 -0500 Dear Ones -- Today is Saturday the 6th and we really do not know any more today than we did yesterday -- just more details but not the glue to put it together. The girl that was being looked for came in voluntarily and was interviewed by the Temple PD for almost 6 hours. She seems to throw suspicion (allegedly) back on a neighbor of the boys that seemed to have promised to take their money and turn it into big bucks in Corpus Christi. They were allegedly supposed to go with him to Corpus over the New Year's Weekend and get the money -- but at the same time this does not add up as they were also supposed to move to San Marcos that same weekend. It all adds up to we don't know where they are. The Sheriff's dept in Waco is not releasing the car or its contents to us or anyone else because they believe that there is something in the car that will aid them in their search. WE know the blood in the car is human --but it will take 2 weeks for DNA testing to verify whose blood. Because they have a sample of the blood from Nancy, Me & the other boy's parents we will know then conclusively if the boys were in the car. The story has been in the newspapers and on the TV & some leads have come from that -- all dead ends so far. Nancy & I have been going through Aaron's stuff today and we know he would not leave it -- we also feel like he is gone because this is something you do when someone you love has died. We have alternated between praying and crying hard. IF we do not learn something conclusively today we will make plans to return home on Sunday - pending Delta having flights available. WE love you all and thank God for you praying for us. You are all heavy on our hearts. Mike & Nancy Rae Davis-Smith http://www.angelfire.com/de/LawDog/index.html

    3. Posted on: Union Co. Tn Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tn/Union/875 Surname: Perry ------------------------- I do have a time making myself clear. I should have put spaces in between the lines of the subjects. The children Listed for John Arthur Perry are for the book OUR UNION COUNTY HERITAGE VOL II BY GRAVES AND McDONALD. Otto is listed as a child. I don't have any other names for John Arthur children except whats in the book. I could send you copies of what I have, I would be glad to. Martha 1845 and Andrew 1849 are the chilldren of Paul Paul is John Arthurs granddaddy. The Paul I am refering to is Paul of 1817 Richard's dad. Paul was married twice maybe three times as far as I can find out. Paul married first Milla ? mother of most od his children. Then Sallie Barger 2-3 children If richard's death certificate is correct than Paul mush have married someone named ? Collins for that is what it has listed. I have had a real hard time getting this family straigh. Information is hard to get. I have written to the Union County Historical Society many times and a few they have answered and some they have not. I have wtitten to Virgie Perry many times, she always writes back and is very sweet but refers me to Ellen Perry. Ellen is the Historian for the Perrys. She call me twice but somehow I still miss some of what she said. I mailed her my family tree as well as pictures and I wrote to her many times but she does not write back. Union County has been my sorce of material. I also ordered all their census and cemetery book. But if the family did not have a headstone they I don't know where to find them except if I can met people who will be willing to share information. I found a second cousin in Knoxville that had family picture which he promised to send and never did I even sent him money to cover the expense still nothing. His information would be on Andrew 1849 family. He doesn't have much but the picture would like a blessing for I do have a few of my Andrew's children, will I have some of four people, which I had hoped he could indentify. Two I know. Paul of 1817 and his father james of 1782-1787 were listed in the census books a living in Hancock, Union and Grainger Counties. Let me know if I have this information correct or not. Also about the book I know for a fact that even in there some of their information is wrong. I found that in my Carr family. Hope to hear from you again. It through sharing that maybe things will come together. I am as I said more than willing to send you all of what I have. LOL
