    3. I don’t know where you are located but I live in Washington County, Tennessee and might be able to give you some assistance. The Howell or Lewis family is not part of my tree but my Father-in-law had a book that listed the graves in Unicoi and who was buried there and I think my Brother-in-law has it now. if you would like, I can either borrow the book or go and look up these names in that book. I know it tells what cemetery the people are buried in and I think it tells the location of that cemetery. If I can be of some help let me know. If you live in this area and are a member of the Johnson City Library, you can go there and research Ancestery.com <http://ancestery.com/> records or if you are not local I would be willing to do that for you. The book I have on Unicoi deaths would not be any help because it does not cover the 1800s Neal Glasgow > On Jan 14, 2015, at 10:16 AM, delewis3 via <tnunicoi@rootsweb.com> wrote: > > I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this Thomas Howell, who died in 1806: > > "WILLIAM LEWIS SR. appeared on 27th-28th of June,1806, at THOMAS HOWELLS Estate Sale. Hope you had a great Christmas and wishes for a wonderful New Year. Funny how names were changed on whim on the census'. Could be mis-spellings, nick names, etc. Very time consuming I've found. Lucretia was listed as Lulu on one census, I recall. She was either born here or afraid to say she wasn't. Since nothing had to be proven, we'll never know. I'm sure there were many that stated being born in the states, although they migrated for one reason or another. It makes the search even more fascinating. :) Keep in touch. :) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I found Lucretia (listed as Lucrusy) in the 1880 census with her grandmother Polly Tapp. Lucretia and her grandmother were listed as born in Tennessee. Bill or Will Banner is somewhat a mystery.
