This William was born 28 Jan 1853 (according to family Bible records) in Mississippi (according to census records). His parents moved the family about every year or so, making them rather hard to track. I know for sure that they spent time in Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri, Kentucky and Arkansas. I haven't found any records of this William past 1870, when he was with his family in Taney Co., MO. I did find an 1872 marriage record in Weakley Co., TN that may be him, since his brother John married there in 1868. The reason I'm asking about your William is that some of the family (Newt GOAD and Louis DAWSON) were in Tipton Co., TN, and I wondered if there was a connection.
