Any one have the marriage records before 1840? I am in need of some look up's. A couple in particular: Alexander Hamilton OWEN and Sarah A. SMITH. They married some time after 1832. On the 1850 Tipton Co. Tn. census there are 5 children: ages 17, 15, 09, 07, and 03. We know his first wife died and I have a year of 1834. Do not know if this is correct. We can not really tell which children are for which wive. Calvin (C.H.?) WISEMAN and Mahalay Unkown. They were married prior to 1840. On the 1840 Tipton Co. Tn. census with out any children.
