    3. Hi, Rob - We are distant cousins. My mother (Grace Drummonds Lamm) was born in Tipton County in 1901, but was brought to Texas about 1902. I am an Easley descendant but your Adkisons intermarried with the Easleys. Your Jesse Bynum (I took this spelling from the Marriage record) Adkison married Eliza W. Easley born about 1835, a sister to my James Daniel Easley (1826-1894) I also have James Adkison (1840-1903), Jesse's brother, married Mary A. Easley (1833 -1894), buried Indian Creek Cemetery. They were all children of Binford Easley and Mary Parker from Halifax County, North Carolina The next generation also intermarried with the Easleys (Margaret and Eliza) My mother corresponded with some Adkisons, Mary & Wilbur, as well as Elnora Adkison (I still have the corresponce) about 1956. I do not have Eliza W. Easley Adkison's death date. I hope you have it. I am not collecting information on Adkison descendants, but I do try to carry he complete family in the first generations. I would like to compare notes. I'm sure we are somehow related since my family originated from Tipton Co., TN. I was born in Covington in 1953. My line beginning with my grandfather is as follows: Wilbur Earl Adkison, Sr. (1893-1970) George Washington Adkison (1862-?) Jessey Binum Adkison, Sr. (1835-1878) John Adkison (1812-1876) If you see a connection I will be glad to share other information. 2. Wayne, thanks for much!!!! I have Ursula and John, but I have not been able to find a Lou Ann and John on the marriage licenses. There is something strange with these people and the only think that I can figure out is that Lou Ann was a nickname and you know how ancestors did. They found a name they liked and went with it! It do believe that is the case here. I am just exploring all avenues until I know for certain. Have a lovely week and hope you enjoyed yourself. Have fun!!! Lorraine

    2. I do not find a Lou Ann in my database. Maybe in my files somewhere. Have been out of town for five days, just back in, trying to catch up on some stuff. I do have an Ursula (or Ursala) Morrissett born 1834 in Dickson County, TN, daughter of Isaac Richard Morrissett and Catherine Gaines Turner. I show Ursula married John James on March 23, 1852 in Dickson County, TN. That is all the information that I have on Ursula and John. I do not know whether these are the same--only thing in common is John James!!!!! Wayne

    2. George and Margaret applied for the marriage license 9-4-1873 and were married 9-14-1873. The only George Richardson listed in the 1880 census for Tipton was married to an Elizabeth. Are Elizabeth and Margaret the same? If so, their children were James D., Emila, and William J.

I am looking for the family of Thomas J. Thompson, either with him or his wife as the head of the household at these times. He was born about 1837, and died before Talitha (Telitha) did, but the year is not known by me. Here is what I know of them and what their household might include. Thomas J. Thompson, b. c1837 Talitha Jane Thompson, wife, b. 1859 Known children; & *others- are not yet proven James, b. c1877 Cora, b. c1879 Willie, b. ? *said to be a child by family legend Lewis/Louis, b. ?*said to be a child by family legend Pearl, b. ?*said to be a child...may have married Pinkney Willis Dennis/Denis, b. c1904 Gertrude, b. 1899 I did find Telitha Thompson, on the 1920 census, in ED 252, District 2, in #31-32. She was shown at this time to be 59 (c.1861), and widowed, with two children still in the home; Gertrude, age 21 (c1899) and Denis, age 16 (c1904). The last time I found Talitha, before the census of 1920 was in 1880 in Hardin Co., TN., with children; James and Cora, ages 3 and 1, and with husband Thomas J. Thompson. Would sure like to fill in the blanks. Appreciate any help on the 1900 or 1910 census's. If anyone has an index and can simply tell me the district, page or dwelling #, I can probably find the rest. Thanks! Christi christip@southshore.com
