I am looking for information regarding Capt. E. C. Clark. Ellery Christopher Clark was born May 16, 1839 in Tyringham, Berkshire, MA to William and Mercy Ann Champlin-Clark. He married Emily J Priest November 15, 1860. She was born September 08, 1842 in Ogdensburg, Saint Lawrence County, NY. He was a Captain in the Civil War, possibly with the 8th Regiment in NH. Elected in 1879 as President of Village of De Pere, Brown County, Wisconsin From De Pere, he moved to west to the Cadott, Eau Claire, or Chippewa Falls area of Wisconsin in the early 1880's. A newspaper article states: "Capt. E. C. Clark of Eau Claire has purchased a large quanity of time land in Tennessee, some sixty miles below Cairo, and is no preparing to remove his stave and hub factory from Cadott to that place. Everything but the buildings will go, including nearly all his old employees and their families. Children of Ellery Clark and Emily Priest are: 2 i.
