It has been about a year since I last posted this query...I am still searching. In about 1830 there was a family graveyard called "The Pierce Cemetery" It is said to have been located in Hendersonville 11 miles west of Gallatin, TN. The cemetery is mentioned in the will of one of the sons of Kerrenhappuck and Jonathan Peairs (Peairs)" The next mention, I have found, of this cemetery is .."Stones found in the yard of Waller Pierce, Hendersonville" no date or name of person who saw the stones. One of the burials in this small cemetery that was to have had a stone is "Kerrenhappuck Peairs, born 9-28-1779, died 10-11-1830 buried Pierce Cemetery, Sumner Co., TN, wife of Jonathan (this is on her stone) The spelling on her name is what is listed on the cemetery stone from what the records say" Does anyone on the list have a suggestion as to how I can find if this cemetery still exists...I am sure, if it does, it is on private property somewhere.
