ROBERTS (1842-1900) believed to be son of Benjamin ROBERTS (1808-?) and Mary HILL (1806-?) married Sallie Lerzine Matilda GRIFFIN (1848-1929) daughter of James R (1811- 19 Jun 1894) & Delpha (?) GRIFFIN (1809- 8 Jun 1897) were married 26 July 1864 in Gallatin, Sumner County, TN. Ben's siblings were: George D ROBERTS (28 Sep 1829 -14 Jul 1883) married 13 April 1852 to Catherine LINK Mary Ann ROBERTS ( 18 Mar 1831-?) married 14 Aug 1851 to Wm. LEGG Andrew Jakson ROBERTS 4 Mar 1836 - 8 Oct 1852 Elizabeth J. ROBERTS 27 Feb 1847 - ? Matilda's siblings were: Elizabeth GRIFFIN born circa 1837 Ferdancia GRIFFIN born circa 1837 James M. GRIFFIN born circa 1839 Martha GRIFFIN born 1842 Elvira GRIFFIN born circa 1843, believed to have married George W. Martin Matilda Associated with the Griffin family were Mary Groves (born circa 1856) and William Groves (born circa 1858) James and Delphia are listed among those buried in the Sumner County Griffin Family Cemetery.
