I have a Mary HOLT, Polly about 1818 born Rutherford Co, NC who married James Martin RIPPY b. 1793 Rutherford Co NC d. 14 Feb 1867 Fishtrap, TN. His first wife was Minirose RIPPY and his 3rd wife was Rebecca FRANCES 11 June 1836 Rutherford Co TN. The HOLTS and RIPPYS, WILEYS and others CROCKETTs all married one another and the HOLTS and WILEYS settled first in NC but all ended up eventually in TN and there close by or in Sumner Co, TN, so you might check out the NC Rutherford Co Records and see if some of your HOLTS started out there, first. I know the WILEYS and RIPPYS are buried in Cherokee SC at the Buffalo Baptist Church and some Rippys are buried at Mt Vernon Methodist Church in Sumner Co, Bethpage, TN, bet you will find some HOLTS there, too.
