He passed away at his home in Portland, TN after a long illness. Preceded in death by an only son, Gary Wayne Honeycutt. He is survived by his parents, Nathan and Gladys Honeycutt, Madison, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Nathan and Michele Honeycutt, Cookeville, TN; niece, Christina; nephews, Nathan III (Elizabeth), Matthew (Leah); 1 grandson, Chase Dylan; a lifetime devoted friend, Debra Honeycutt. He graduated with honors from Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Hendersonville and of the Knights of Columbus.
