John Carter, born Sumner Co., TN, his wife was Jane Carter (born in Illinois?). Their child (only one I know of so far) John Lester Carter, b. 9/16/1861, Sumner County, TN; d 3/25/1946, Allen County, buried Hickory Hill. John Lester Carter married (1) Cornelia Hodges b. 3/1/1863 and d. 9/25/1891. At some point the family moved to Macon County, TN. Children of John Lester and Cornelia Hodges (all children were allegedly born in Siloam) are: Bertha Wright Carter, b. 10/21/1881; d.1/27/1956 Nana A. Carter, b. 9/12/1880; buried in Siloam Nina G. Carter, b. 4/30/1886; d. 6/25/1905, buried in Siloam Fannie Carter, b. 5/22/1888; d. 3/6/1907, buried in Siloam Griffin L. Carter, b. 7/11/1887 Any information for suggestions for Corneila Hodges Carter, John and Jane Carter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
