I'm searching for information regarding the Buntin family. Family information has by great-grandfather, James Bennett Buntin birthplace as Sumner County, TN (b. Oct 1876). My Great-great-grandmother's maiden name was Lucy Groves and my Great-great-grandfather's name (by family bible) as John Buntin. The 1880 census has a Lucy J. Buntin WF age 21 living in the Grove residence (House/Page: 216-258) along with one year old James Buntin (the age doesn't correspond with the census vs. family information to the birth date by only 3 years). S.P. Groves is the eldest WF age 46 (216-258)of this household. This appears to be a close match... can anybody help me with information regarding Lucy J. (Grove) Buntin and family? There is a listing in the 1880 census of a residence of J.C. Buntin WM age 52 & Margaret Buntin WF age 52(House/Page: 29-249). They have a son, James Buntin age 21. Can anyone help me with J.C. & Margaret Buntin and family? I had no luck finding a "John Buntin" within the age group with Lucy Buntin.
