Place of marriage Unknown! Some or all of their children were born in VA or NC. John Orr SR died in 1798 and Frances died in 1813 in Sumner County. Place of their burial is Unknown. John Orr SR and wife Frances first appeared in Sumner County about 1794. John Orr SR had a Kentucky Land Grant of 200 acres and owned 60 acres in Sumner County. The Children: 1- Jane was already married to William Aldersoon, before their arrival in Sumner County, other researchers say they were married in SC. Died 1838. 2- John JR married Tellitha Cotton,they moved to IL about 1820 first to White County then on to Brown County. He died about 1840 3- James who eventually became a Doctor married Elizabeth DeLoach and they moved to Woodville, Wilkerson County, MS. James died July 1815. 4- David and Jenny McElwrath were married and they migrated to Bedford County, TN near the town of Unionville. They are buried in Pleasant Vally Cemetery along with a bunch of their descendants. David died about 1854. 5- Elizabeth married William Snoddy they divorced and I believe she married Armstead Alderson. 6- Margaret (Peggy) married William Ogles, after his death I believe she married Michael Cline then she married James W Alexander, both Margaret and James died at Mt Sterling, Brown County, IL, and are buried next to Green Berry Orr. She died around 1860 7. William married Annie Smith, no other information concerning him. 8- Green Berry married three time first ti Aramintha Harris then he was married to Elizabeth Burk and finally there was his marriage to Mary Brown who migrated to Brown County, IL.
