Tn Queries Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tn/Sumner/11996 Surname: Anderson, Blackwell, Chavis, Davis, Mitchell, Richards, Seymon, Threadgill ------------------------- Hi Clara, I've lost the trail of my Anderson ancestors after 1850, except for my gg-grandmother - Mary Ann Francis Anderson, born 1846 in Sumner Co. She would marry Joseph A. Blackwell in the early 1860's, and they would raise a family of eleven children in southern Illinois - Saline Co. Mary's obit. doesn't identify any siblings. In fact, it states that she was sent to northern IL at a very young age to live with a family, and could not remember any brothers and sisters. (Mary died in Saline Co. in 1921.) I'm a descendant of Annie Blackwell & John E. Chavis, both from southern IL. They married in 1890, and their daughter Ida Mae Chavis Davis, born 1903 died 1933, would become my grandmother. I will keep your grandparents Virgil Anderson and Alice Cooper in my files. If I find out anything on them, I'll pass it along. I have quite a few mysteries to unravel yet.
