His wife was Susannah. They had a son James born (abt 1780) in Sumner Co., TN who married Sarah Cotton (born Aug 29, 1783) Sarah was from Hertford N.C. and her father was Capt Thomas Cotton (name sake of Cottoontown). I hope this helps a little. Strother isn't my line but, they were in-laws. Can anyone help us here with the Strothers of Cottontown, TN?
