Land Harris Subject: Re: [TNSUMNER] Look-ups for Will Books (1788-1842) My great great great great grandparents were in Sumner TN in the late 1700's early 1800's John Gregory b 1771 died in 1812 "from exposure in the War of 1812" and Elizabeth 'Betsey" Turner Gregory b 5/22/1784 died about 1809...she had 5 children between 1799 and 1809. They are reported to be buried "2 miles abouve Green Garden, Sumner Co. TN" Elizabeth was a daughter of Major Henry Turner of Amherst VA and his wife Rachel Stovall. She was related to Terisha Turner (probably her brother). I would love any info you find on them or any Gregory's, Stovalls or Turners as the above was a verbal history account and I have no clues about John Gregory's siblings, or 4 of his children's names etc. My ggg grandfather Rev George Nestor Gregory (Methodist reverend) was his son. Thank you so very much for this offer. A.
