That might help. Cottontown is about 15 miles from Portland down close to Beech community. There is a big cemetery there. One person was seven years old when George Washington was born. On the tombstone, it says, Sumner County, N.C. which is correct at that time. My wife knows there are so many Brown's in Sumner County, TN, that you have to dig thru the Archive records.
