It's Paris, Texas, not Paris, TN. I know quite a bit about him, I just wanted to know why the local American Legion there named the post after him. Nobody knows. It appears it was just a handy thing to do at that point in time. The last census I have for Neely and Harriet is the 1880 one, in which they were in Sumner. I know as long as these people lived in that area that there are bound to be descendants. I just haven't found the right ones, yet!
