KY. dau Frances Stephens b. 1810 Sumner Co. TN m. John Mayes b. TN son Joseph Stephens b. 18 Oct 1815 Simpson Co. KY m. Amelia "Milly" Perdue 21 Feb 1832 Sumner Co. TN, dau of Asa (1784-1880) and Elizabeth (Webb) Perdue (1792-1861). Amelia (Perdue) Stephens was b. 1814 Franklin Co. VA and d. 1860 Sumner Co. TN. They had a son James Boley Stephens b. 1832 d. 1907. Note: My paternal grandmother was a Perdue descended from Luke, a younger brother of Asa, so this Joseph Stephens marriage was in my data base. The information is from Ancestry and should be verified. My birthdate for Asa Perdue is 1786 and Elizabeth Webb's birth is abt. 1791. They were m. 10 Jun 1813 Franklin Co. VA. Asa and Luke Perdue were among the eleven sons of Meshach and Eleanor (Dillon) Perdue, Franklin Co. VA. TN to Ada Mae Suttle, oldest dau of George Granvil "Gran" and Mary A. L. Tidona (Brown) Suttle. They had 2 children: Harold Perdue 1911-1989 and Mayzelle (Perdue) or Mrs. Howard Mitchell 1914-1978. She m. 1945. Harris died after serving in WWI in the Avian Influenza Pandemic of 1918. Ada then married Charles Neely Hamm 31 Aug 1919 and had a son Charles D. Hamm abt. 1921. Harris was the son of George A. and Flora Lavada (Brown) Perdue. Harris and Ada shared a common great-great grandfather in Robert Leonard Brown but with his two different wives. They had the same 3rd great-grandparents in Leonard and Sarah (Kimbrough) Brown. Hope all this helps!
