A couple of years ago i did a presentation on the CSS Hunly to the local Sons of Confederate Veterans group If I am not mistaken they had a place they were attempting to set aside as the birth place and were working to place a marker at roadside. I am sorry i do not remember my contact with the SCV camp but the group meets at an attorney's office. I am sure they know the spot. Terry L.
