Retired Vice-President of Gallo Winery, graduate of Gallatin High School, member of Modesto Benevolent Lodge 280 F1981 of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Army veteran of World War II. Son of the late Virgil and Ruth Morgan McGee Fields. Preceded in death by son, Mark Fields on October 24, 2000. Survived by son, Memphis Attorney, Richard B. Fields; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Family and friends will assemble at the Chestnut Mound United Methodist Church Cemetery, for a graveside service beginning at 3 p.m., and Interment with Military Honors on Sunday afternoon, April 10th, with Bro.
