Funeral services for Tottie Devine Bryant will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Portland Funeral Chapel, Portland, TN. Burial will be at the Alex Byers Cemetery, in Bloomington Springs. Mrs. Bryant passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2005 at Highland Manor Nursing Home. She was born December 23, 1907 in Jackson County to the late Ellison and Molcia (Palk) Goolsby and was married to the late Emmitt W. Bryant for more than 61 years, from July 18, 1926 until his death on January 16, 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by six children, Olen Bryant, Modene Grosse, Cliter (J. D.) Agee, Dorothy Youngblood, Freda (George) Eatwell and Donald (Doris) Bryant; eight grandchildren, Connie Carter, Jonie Womack, Cheri Saunders, Sharon Hayes, Betsy Cooksey, Cindy McCreary, Larry Youngblood and Donna Taylor; eighteen great-grandchildren, Sara and Jimmy Carter, Michael and Steven Womack, Jennifer Burkhardt, Chad and Megan Saunders, Stacy Tittle, Jason Whitaker, Cody Hayes, Laura Beth Cooksey, Chelsea and Craig McCreary, Kim Brown, Ashley and Chelsea Youngblood, Bran and Sage Sowell; nine great-great grandchildren, Kristen, Morgan and Katie Beth Womack, Josie Burkhardt, Jordan Tittle, Copelynne and Jaycee Whitaker, Courtney Russell, Ryan Hunter and a host of nieces and nephews. She is survived by two sisters, Lora Goolsby Martell and Grace Goolsby Prohaska; three brothers, Roy, Sam and Alfred Goolsby; two sisters-in-law, Ruby and Edna Goolsby and very special friends, including Darmon Hall, Tom Brumbough and Lewis Burton. She was preceded in death by four sisters, May, Beulah and Rose Goolsby, and Buna Goolsby Mullins; six brothers, Dewey, Cham, Dalton, Hooper, Othia and Lendon Goolsby; one granddaughter, Maclynn Harris and one great-grandson, Bryant Harris.
