Died Wednesday, April 6, 2005 after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Joe Farley was born to the late Robert and Davie M. Farley on August 5, 1941. He was retired from E. I. Dupont Nemours Company in Old Hickory, TN. For over 15 years he and his wife owned and operated B his devoted wife of 47 years whom he simply adored, Mrs. Willie D. Farley; his beloved daughter, Ms. Carmel Yvette Farley, both of Gallatin, TN; his devoted son, Mr. Vincent (Doreen) Farley of Summerville, SC; one granddaughter whom he raised as his own, Ms. Chandra LaKesha Farley of Los Angeles, CA; two devoted grandsons, Kendrick Farley of Langley AFB, VA and Ryan Farley of Summerville, SC; his devoted mother, Mrs. Davie M. Farley of Gallatin. TN; his devoted mother-in-law, Mrs. Lucille Douglas of Gallatin, TN; one brother, Robert (Bertha) Farley of Madison, TN; two sisters, Laura (Melvin, Sr.) Vaughn and Gearaldine M. Crabtree of Gallatin, TN; one brother-in-law, Isaac (Sarah) Douglas of Gallatin, TN; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Alice Douglas and Mrs. Ruby Farley of Gallatin, TN; one aunt, Ms. Ruby Harper of Gallatin, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family connections. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 9, 2005 at First Baptist Church, 290 East Winchester Street, Gallatin, TN at 1 p.m. Family visitation will begin at 12 o'clock noon. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 8, 2005 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Johnson and Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 723 Anthony Street, Gallatin, TN.
