Thanks to all of you, and I will pursue my research. I hadn't that that it might be on the "other side" of the Cumberland. County boundary did do a lot of changing back then and popular names for creeks and such did get changed. If I find the specific "Sink Creek" mentioned in the tax rolls for Sumner County ca. 1830, I'll post it. Cheers Mary
