He married Almira C. Smith, daugher of Edmund D. Smith and Sarah Hargroves, in Dec. 1852. He doesn't show up on 1850 census with anyone in Sumner Co. WHERE WAS HE? He and Almira had 7 known children; Thomas E.(married Helen Frances Bransford Jones;widow with 3 children) Sarah A (married a Lassiter), Minnie J (died young teen) Ida V (married Asa McMurtry) Samuel Lee (my grandfather) Lula Elizabeth (married a Lassiter) and Nora Belle (married a Combs).
