I know that James Harrison emigrated to the area about 1785. He appears in numerous books and land records - often just one of two line references in the former. He married Cynthia Gibson, daughter of Jordan Gibson. I think he came from the Pee Dee River area of SC. He settled first near Hall's Station. I am desperate to find evidence of his parents and siblings. James & Cynthia's children and spouses as follows (surely someone has information about a few of them): Nathaniel Harrison, b. 1776, m.
