Is there anyone out there who has knowledge of the douglass families that were in Sumner County, TN in the very early 1800's and perhaps late 1700's. Have read about them some on various sites, but information is very hard to come by on these families. I have my ancestors traced back to Smith county in 1820, and its possible that they were in Sumner county, prior to the formation of Smith county out of Sumner.
