They would stop at every house, There was always a chicken coop or two fastened to the back of the truck as well as a kerosene tank. You could sell him an old hen or rooster and he would weigh it on the swinging scales the he would sell you a dimes worth of sugar weighing it on the same scales pump you a gallon of coal oil for your lamps or anything else he carried. Probly visit the woods on the side of the road several times a day and never wash his hands. DON'T THAT MAKE YOU LONG FOR THE GOOD OLD DAYS. LEE.
