I really doubt if Isaac Bledsoe Taylor was related to Isaac Bledsoe. I just think perhaps John M. Taylor was friends with one of the Isaac Bledsoes, and named his son for him. I have never seen any suggestion that the Taylors or Wests were related to the Bledsoes, and even in my lifetime, had there been a relationship, I feel sure my family would have known it and told me. The Bledsoes were prominent in Sumner County, with a creek named for them, as well as a town (Bledsoe's Lick, which later came to be known as Castalian Springs). I find it hard to believe my Taylor family wouldn't have claimed a connection had there been one.
