My records indicate that he was buried in an unmarked grave slightly East of Gallatin. It is unusual that he would not have had a gravestone as he was a considerably wealthy man, served as Speaker of the Tennessee House of Representatives, and Wilson County was named after him. If anyone has any information on a cemetery lying East of Gallatin or if you know an old timer that remembers a cemetery that lay just East of that city years ago, please let me know.
