The Peter(3) Looney is known as Peter"H" Looney because his wife was Rachel HARMON thus the "H" to distinguish him from his cousin Peter who later changed the spelling of his last name to LUNA. His father was Absalom(2) Looney, the brother of my Col. David(2) Looney and Peter "H" was the grandson to Robert(1) Looney. I don't have any J.D. Looney but he probably was related to Peter "H" Looney that lived in Cottontown, Sumner Co., TN next door to my Rices.
